Why Haiti on an African Blog?

Haiti's African roots should be obvious to all who are able to read and know anything at all about our ever-changing world. Many slaves from Africa were taken into the Caribbean Islands where they became leaders of the governments of those Island nations. Our church, called "Church of God" with headquarters in Cleveland, TN, USA began it's foreign missions program in the Bahamas among the children of those slaves from Africa. Of course the slaves brought their culture (their learned ways of doing and being) with them. Part of that culture was witchcraft, or what became known here in the Western hemisphere as Voodoo.
